''Content'' Specialists

In this day and age, *everyone* is a specialist in this artform now;
as people build up their own channels, networks, social media platforms
they assemble CONTENT - to the content of their hearts!
And they pass it on - they share it with their audience!
Some redundancy is bound to be present -
but it matters not!
What matters is this:
we share - therefore we are!

Definitely as worthy of denotation
as any blog... vlog... podcast and whatnot
under the cyber sun!

Jeremy Crow 4 Life

You saw this screen capture before here:

It is imperative, however, to precise
that this is not the first Jeremy Crow
that could pop up as a search result,
if you would simply Google the name...
''Crow'' is a highly suspicious last name;
it might not even be his real name!
And the fact is that, there is another
Jeremy Crow out there
(looks like a different dude, anyway!)
one who is all over the place, too
and it is not the same guy - at all.
The other Crow is... a satanist!
We would never support one of those,
here, on the TLB PRIME NETWORK!
Nor would Blogger, on its own
''blogs of note'' feature,
we are certain...

So, make sure that your ''J.C.''
(if He Is not Jesus Christ Himself, that is)
is, at least, the one we are showcasing today:
''JeremyCrow4Life'' a.k.a the self-proclaimed
and not the other guy who
claims to be an ''archon''
from hell itself or something...!!!

Having established that
all-important dichotomy,
let us draw the parallel now
... just like I took the habit of invoking
the lifestyles... quirks... or just style...
of a plethora of
''AQUAFICIONADAS''
over at my very own super-popular blog
''aquamusings''...

''J.C.'' here
has made it his mission
to invoke the wisdom
or many women
(womentors...?)
such as Kirsty Gallagher there
on his mega-hit of a blog...
(okay, sometimes it is the wisdom of
some male celebrity; Vince Vaughn was spotlighted,
recently enough... And Sam Walton...
But it was after Bonnie Bedelia,
Hope Davis and Kirsty were!)

As one who came from a matriarchy
espoused into one as well
and always believed in the concept,
I can only applaud the initiative.
And declare Jeremy's blog
one of them *blogs to denote*
- indeed!

Ironically enough, JeremyCrow4Life also spotlights other bloggers he deems to be ''well worth noting'' as well...! He does it on TheWhacko.com - and although that dubious title (or whacko) is quite befitting to a ''T'' for one who would claim to be an archon of luciferian roots...
We totally doubt that such a character would be distributing nods of approval to other bloggers and acknowledging the wisdom of noteworthy chaps and gals (mostly gals) left and right like this ''4Life'' guy does...! The other guy would just sing the praises of the devil himself - period!
NOT our cup of tea...
NEVER.

Yeah - as far as our whackos go,
we reserve the right to remain
quite selective...

Stardust Memories

Blogs and their usage reach their uttermost paramount reason of being when they are used like this: a grieving soul sharing his or her anguish, suffering or mere thoughts on what was, what was lost and what is hoped to be seen again, one way or another...

Such is the case with the blog to denote today - Cody Rhodes' contribution to Brandi Runnels' blog, a powerful, emotional bit of blogging titled ''the last bionic elbow.''

There are those who have no idea what this title may be referring to; it refers to wrestling legend Dusty Rhodes' foremost offensive move - it was christened as such, most certainly, to sound futuristic and cool, as all of America is bound to be, assuredly.  The wrestler in question here was dubbed ''American Dream Dusty Rhodes'' after all - he had to embody all of it.  His son Cody is now known by the ring name of ''Stardust'' and recently lured into the squared circle a star of the small screen in yet another one of those cross-entertainment forays like the elder Rhodes was accustomed to. For this most recent occasion, Stephen Arnell, the star of the CW's Arrow television series, had a match with ''Stardust'' which was entertaining and unusual - the sort of thing that would have made the latter's father very proud indeed. A perennial presence of his sport for several decades, the American Dream was, after all, also an innovator of it.

But he has been gone for months now - yet, touchingly, the son's grieving continues in earnest.

It truly brings back memories here - both of the elder's battles with equally legendary members of the Four Horsemen, as most personal memories...

And it is as one ''Atlantean'' says, in a comment he left on the blog in question here (and once you click on the link, you will see the comment first, actually - scroll back up the page for Cody ''Stardust'' Rhodes' emotional blog per say) - it really is like that: our fathers are not gone. Believe this. They are up there - in the stars.  Their essence has not evaporated into the ether, no; they remain, in essence, with us - just as they ascended back where we all came from...

And we will see them again. One day. But that day is not afoot just yet... not just yet.

Let's Give It For The Boy!

Ultra Boy, that is!  UltraBoy8888, to be even more precise! I have neither the time nor the patience to do what he and several more fans have done, with their nostalgia and old comic-book collections: which is scan some (if not all) pages from it and meticulously review each issue as if their lives depended on it! Maybe I should have - but I didn't!  Hence, whenever I search for a reference to a particular book, storyline or issue that I remember, from way back, boy (!) am I glad someone, out there, did review it - and scan and upload some part of it!

Such as this page, excerpted from Adventure Comics circa 1980 -
art by the late, great Don Newton!

Atlantis... Antarctica... Aquaman and Helga The Nazi!
What's not to like here, eh?

A bit of s sidetrack here now, but...
(it is one of those cases where ''I would be remiss'' - if I did not!)

For the real-life Helga may have been unearthed as well...
But her name was... Maria!

Yeah, I know, I know - just a passing resemblance there...
Plus a bit of a stretch to tie up Antarctica, Nazis, Atlantis
plus the Black Sun and the Vril Society!
But you must admit: how fascinating...
AND this is how one makes *luminous connections*
- or didn't you know...

But, in closing...

Thanks, UltraBoy8888 (aka Deejay Dayton) for having made all of these treasures of pop culture so readily available! Your ''Babblings About DC Comics'' over at Wordpress have both a great banner and a great tone to them - it dispenses all you need to know about any given issue and just the right amount of criticism, too!  Some will want to go look for those back issues, now - thanks to you! Imagine that: in this day and age of digital comics - some will want to hunt down old stuff in print!  It boggles the mind, eh? Now, yours is not the only one of the kind (there are so many indeed) but it is clearly the most fun read I have ever come across.  It not only figures that a DJ Dayton would remember Don Newton - and be a genuine fan!  The genuine fandom here cannot be denied; you have got good taste, man!  And, hey, I needed the Helga of Antarctica bit for my very own ''aquamusings'' here, just now, so... Again - muito obrigado! ;-)

NO BALADI FOR BADAWI

We would be remiss if we didn't join the movement
for the freedom -and unconditional pardon-
of fellow blogger Raif Badawi
recently condemned to years in prison
on top of being flogged a thousand times
for the mere act of blogging.

But can we truly hope for anything -
Hashtags such as #FREERAIF
#NoMoreFloggingForBlogging
#SaudiArabianLiberalsUnite
and, perhaps, #ACartoonAgainstEveryLash
are flourishing - and fighting on...
For blogging rights, rather than bragging ones...
For ''free-dommmmm'' -
and, yeah, we all know what that got
William Wallace...

Everyone and their (most) D.C. (distant cousin)
has joined on this worldwide rally
clamoring for the immediate release of Raif
and dispensing of the remaining hundreds
of punitive whiplashes
that were set to be administered
to his scrawny back...
and all that just for having blogged!

Of course, I would draw a parallel
between this ''radical blogger''
(it's a form of radicalism as seen by
the Saudi Arabian regime, yes;
me, I haven't even read Raif's blog!)
and the recent tragedy that struck
a bunch of freethinking cartoonists
that often displayed a very bad sense
of what humor is or is supposed to be -
and were met with swift retribution
coming from the hands
(from the guns, mostly)
of radicals all their own...

Where the above picture was taken
(in greater Canada - but, to be more specific
somewhere closer to that nation's capital
political party leaders with an eye on power
(namely the NDP's Thomas Mulcair)
and well-known journalists (there)
have vehemently joined this public outcry
- even more loudly so, strangely enough,
than for the Charlie Hebdo massacre in France.
Imagine that.

La liberté de quoi - d'être con? D'offusquer des cons?
Faudrait définir, une bonne fois...

Now, you know me by now - do you not?
I will be squarely on the side of a blogger
much more so than by a crude cartoonist's
so-called journalist's back...
I paraphrased Voltaire, in social media,
in re: Charlie...
I stated that, like Voltaire, I would fight
for the right that they have to express
themselves, surely;
but it would be inversely proportional
to my degree of disagreement (or agreement)
with what they say or do...
In other words,
if I profoundly dislike their crap,
I would agree that they can still
keep on producing such crap,
but I would hardly lift a finger.
Now if I happen to share the same
point of view - then,
For, then, I would fight tooth and nail
for the right of expression -
for the message is worthy!
Important nuance, I think...

I doubt Mulcair and Lépine,
to name but those two,
care so much about what was said,
written, blogged...
They are outspoken about the basic right
to freedom of speech for one and all.
But when one in particular and most all
are foolish enough to express the wrong thing
at the wrong time - and for the wrong crowd
how can you back up such idiocy 100%...?
One Frenchman at least made sense:
cartoonist Jean-Michel Delambre
(a close friend of the Charlie Hebdo victims...)
stated that he believes we can laugh of any subject
but he also believes that we cannot laugh
of just any subject with just anybody...!

And what were the cartoonists of CH
or this Badawi blogger thinking -
did they want to simply aggravate
for the sake of it -
simply because they could
express themselves
-in theory anyways-
freely?

There are risks to that.
It can go from a hundred
or a thousand whiplashes
all the way to
une pluie de balles...

And there is also a time
and a place
for every truth -
that is
if these guys had one
worthy of sharing...

Judging from some of these CH samples,
it is extremely doubtful:

Perhaps the only case when CH
actually made one iota of sense...
But I am digressing...

Elles n'apportent rien de bon
de toute façon...

The case is clear with CH...
The jury is still out on Raif.

Sleepless In The Blogosphere

Awake, beautiful blogger, awake...!

Oh, you are awake already...?
You're an insomniac, actually!
And you can't stop blogging at night...
Er... Cool!
Blog on...

Photo: Daphné Caron - URBANIA

Verily, if fellow wordsmiths
-so-called journalists of the new millennium-
bother and care, long enough,
to go and interview this blogger...
promote her blog...
officially give it their seal of approval...
How could I overlook it, here,
on my good ol' Blogs To Denote... hmm?

Three things to keep in mind, though, before you check it out:
it is on Wordpress... (strike one?)
You need to be able to read French... (strike two!)
And... well... it's like the whole chick flick thing there;
this is a chick blog, too...?
Now, I watch chick flicks all the time;
but it might not be everyone's cup of tea...?

Hence, before you go and check it out,
you should check out this article/interview
with the blogger herself:
Catherine Fouron
(quel nom...!)
photographed by Daphné Caron for that occasion
and (briefly) interviewed
(quizzed, really...)
by up-and-coming chroniqueuse
and out-of-the-closet-and-about
Judith Lussier...

Now, if Mrs. Fouron's blogging
is anything like Miss Lussier's
ah, contributions
to that newspaper (...)
(which it logically should be;
since the former attracted the latter's attention...)
well, I must say it will be
something a tad irritating, at times...

I shall keep this tabbed as
''reading for later''
(as in NBC's Later, yes -
same concept!)

Only if I cannot sleep, therefore...

Read the article (click the original article's pic, below)
while you can - for it is online, too... for now!
And then you may check out
the actual blog that we're denoting here today:

Gee... she looks as though she may have died there, when vertical...
Why sleep when you can blog though - indeed!
Plenty of time to sleep once you buy the farm...

BLOGGER'S NOTE:
Lussier's stuff
cannot be so easily avoided:
as it is, quite often,
the only reading material around
on any given day
that is FREE OF CHARGE
and readily available
(heck, handed to you;
force-fed!)
every time you pass by
walking distance
of a subway station
in certain townships...!
But that's another story...

;-)

blogger-dashboard

Easily the most original, single most unique blog of them all: blogger dashboard has, with its zero posts, devil-may-care attitude and debonair flair, single-handedly changed the blogosphere altogether - turning it upside down, quite effectively!

Jeanu Arry -whoever you are- you are a genius! What, with ''no posts'' you've managed to post such impressive results: 120 followers, over 9000 views of your twin-Google+ page (actually, the YouTube channel, Google+ thing and Blogger dashboard are triplets - so it is, now, thanks to all-mighty Google!) and, now, you singled out -once again- as one of the blogs to denote...!

Bravo, Jeanu - bravo!  You and your blogger-dashboard revolution have taught us all the most precious lesson it could teach us all, verily: that we do not have to post anything, anywhere - if we don't want to! Or if we have no time... Often, that is what it is, too: we have little or no time at all to devote to these things...! Yet, we want to have our piece of the virtual pie: everyone should have his or her own YT channel... Google+ page... Blogger dashboard... Blog... Weblog... Catalog?

But I am digressing now...

Note: NO - the preceding was NOT an April's Fool joke!

The iits Factor

People ask us, sometimes,
why is this blog in particular,
"a blog to denote"...?
Why this one and not some other?
Well, as Robbie Robertson sang so well
back in the day: "I don't know,
the web winds kinda pushed me this way!"

Or maybe it is simply because
any blog that loves boobs so much
cannot be intrinsically bad at all...?

Even if those are anime tits...!
:-I
