Celebrity Bloggers - take one

Or what if Kate & Will sponsored agnosticism, for example?

Everybody loooooooooooooves a celebrity - right?
And what better way to sell your product than to have a celebrity endorsement? Even better, a CREDIBLE endorsement, with the celebrity or celebrities actually MAKING USE of said product - it is, truly, invaluable and the BEST WAY TO CRUSH THE COMPETITION! Every blog-provider there is (WordPress, TypePad, Bravenet and Blogger itself - of course - to name but those...) DREAMS of such opportunities - which is why it is surprising when they take so long to even NOTICE, let alone make use of such great FREE publicity opportunities...?

Recently, the Blogger boogers FINALLY made SNL alumnus Julia Sweeney's blog one of their "blogs of note" picks. Great - but it had only been around since 2003...! What gives...?!?

Of course I mean "it was about time" in reality, there...!
What were you waiting for, Blogger - that she gets another cancer, is that it?!?
Shame on you - or on me for suggesting this, but I am merely using the same brand of humor Julia herself has displayed in the face of illness...!

And truth be told, there is no better way to face off with such an insidious adversary that ensconces itself in every fiber of your very own body and strikes, henceforth, from within...

Julia Sweeney's blog is not just about her illness and bouts with it, of course: verily it is as much an all-encompassing blog as any of mine! She is an extremely funny and sophisticated gal - much more than any of her former cohorts from the time when she was on Lorne Michaels' SNL cast! It is a gem of a blog!

My comment on Julia Sweeney's blog is a gem too:

I think anonymous (your first commenter here - ever) meant to say "all He Wants is your heart and soul" - for God Made both and He Knows best what's good for them! Or for it, really; the heart is but the residence for your soul, while you're treading this earth that is...

Unless anonymous meant "heart" as in LOVE - in which case he should have prolonged the sentence some more...

It's not hard; I extend my thoughts in writ on and on with greater aplomb with each passing day! Practice does make perfect!
But I'm digressing now...

Seriously, Mrs. Sweeney, I hope you'll be able to let go of everything - EXCEPT God! Your soul will have no place to go once everything else is history - and that would be most unfortunate!

Didn't Charlton Heston tell you something to that effect when he was on SNL...?

Mr. Heston could have said plenty too; his guess is as good as anyone else's about where the souls of Edward G. Robinson, Anne Baxter, Vincent Price and Yul Brynner are nowadays...!

And believe me, Mrs. Sweeney, when I tell you this much: you want to be in that elite company when they lay you to rest. You want to go to the place that's the best!

(Okay, that was shamelessly making use of the old classic "Spirit In The Sky"... You've heard it, surely: "going on up to the Spirit in the sky - that's where I'm gonna go when I die - when I die and they lay me to rest - I'm gonna go to the place that's the best!")

p.s. I am partial to the cover version by *Doctor & The Medics* myself...
